Google Play requires every app that lets you create an account to publish a page like this one, reachable without signing in. This is that page.
If you never made an account
There is nothing here to delete. Feastward works without an account, and in that mode nothing about your study is sent to us — your progress lives only on your device.
Delete the app (or, on the web, clear site data for this site) and it is gone. We never had a copy.
If you have an account
In the app: open Profile, and under Account choose Delete account. The screen
lists exactly what will go, then asks you to type DELETE to confirm. The deletion happens
immediately — there is no waiting period, no review, and nothing to cancel afterwards.
By email, if you would rather, or if you cannot sign in: write to hello@feastward.org from the address on the account, with the subject Delete my account. We will confirm the request, delete the account, and email you when it is done. We aim to complete emailed deletions within 7 days and will not take longer than 30 days.
There is no "deactivate", "pause", or "hide" option, on purpose. Deletion is the only thing this page offers, and it does what the word says.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account, permanently:
- Your account and sign-in credentials, including your email address.
- Your profile — handle, display name, avatar choice, time zone, leaderboard setting.
- All learning progress — lessons completed, accuracy, time spent.
- Your entire spaced-review schedule and review history.
- Streaks, rest days, and every XP event.
- Friendships and friend streaks.
- Circle memberships, and any circle you created.
- League membership, standings, and rank.
Deletion cascades through the database, so none of it is left behind in an orphaned row.
This is permanent. Your streak and your review schedule cannot be restored afterwards, by us or by anyone. If you only want to step away, you can simply stop using Feastward — nothing is deleted for inactivity, and your tree will be where you left it.
What is not deleted, and why
| Kept | Why | For how long |
|---|---|---|
| Web server request logs | Security and abuse prevention. They are not joined to your account and are not searchable by user | Our host's standard retention window |
| Anything legally required | Only where a specific law obliges us to keep a record | Only as long as that obligation lasts |
| App Store / Google Play records | Held by Apple and Google under their policies, not ours. We cannot delete them for you | See their policies |
We keep no backup copy of your learning data after deletion.
Your reflections were never ours to delete
Anything you wrote in a reflection prompt was stored on your device and never uploaded. It is not in our database, so account deletion does not touch it — and neither could we. Deleting the app deletes those.
Just want a copy first?
Email hello@feastward.org and ask for an export before you ask for deletion. We will send you the data tied to your account. Do this first if you want it — after deletion there is nothing to send.
